Through a compendium of visceral, interdisciplinary and time-based means, my studio work attempts to embrace the empathy, emotion and memory of the human condition. The grouping of these works metaorphosize into disarticulated narratives that attempt to recall upon personal experiences, as time and image transition into a new visual consciousness.
These investigations attempt to breakdown and reorganize moments that have been both experienced and captured - taunting, and testing them to offer a deeper, more poetic examination of self. Memory is frequently called to question as the variable of changing moments repeatedly transitions from one to another. Often these works become emotionally charged, hybridized manifestations as the audience is challenged to confront a juxtaposition of self vs. otherness.
These layered efforts in the studio forge into a unique, visual amalgamation that has developed within an interdisciplinary realm. Regardless of subject or situation, what is certain within my work is the pursuit of a complex, emotional awareness that is experientially human.
