Through a compendium of visceral, interdisciplinary and time-based means, the larger collective of my studio work attempts to embrace the empathy, emotion and memory of the human condition. Through the work, time and image transition into a new visual context.
These investigations attempt to breakdown and reorganize moments that have been both experienced and captured - taunting, and testing them to offer a deeper, more poetic examination of self. History and memory are frequently called to question as the variable of changing moments repeatedly transitions from one to another.
Often these works become emotionally charged, hybridized manifestations as the audience is challenged to confront a juxtaposition of self and otherness into a new context. Metacognition and consciousness are frequently examined, questioned and tested throughout the works.
These layered efforts in the studio forge into a unique, visual amalgamation that has developed within an interdisciplinary realm. Regardless of subject or situation, what is certain within my work is the pursuit of a complex, emotional awareness that is experientially human.
